Welcome to Unitarian Universalist Church of Savannah of the MSC

Hello! We are pleased that you have an interest in serving our Unitarian Universalist Congregation as our settled minister in our equally historic church and city of Savannah, Georgia.  This website, along with the congregational record, will give you an overview of our congregation, community, and the vibrant lifestyles of those of us who live in the “City of Squares.”

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Savannah is located on Troup Square; one of the city’s 22 unique squares situated within the Historic District. Our congregation, and the church building itself, has a remarkable history, which you can find in the history section of “Who We Are.”  Although we take great pride in our history, and feel we have a strong congregation at present, it is our future that concerns us now.  We are looking for a minister who is a good match for our strengths, and a bulwark against our weaknesses.

One great strength, which you can hear by clicking on the video link, is our music program.  We have an incredibly talented music director and an ever-expanding choir.  Similarly our RE program has exploded in size and excellence.  As recently as seven years ago our RE program numbered fewer than 15 while we now engage from 30 to 50 children classes during the non-summer services of the year. We hope our settled minister augments the spirit and excellence that we’ve achieved.

Our best wish is that our settled minister falls in love with our church, city and congregation (not necessarily in that order) and becomes dedicated and committed to being with us for many years.
